Review of PC Green Cleaners

I have taken quite an interest in the last year in finding green alternatives to the toxic household cleaners that we all use to keep our homes clean and disinfected. I decided to try PC (President's Choice) brand green cleaning products first as they are the most readily available in grocery stores such as Loblaws, Extra Foods and Real Canadian Superstores across Canada.
PC Makes toxin free household cleaner in a concentrate as well as a ready to use kitchen spray and a ready to use bathroom spray & a squeeze bottle of toilet cleaner. I bought one of each and I have tried them all, with varying degrees of satisfaction. Toilet Cleaner - this is an excellent green product; I like the scent, which is NOT overpowering and my toilet cleaned up easily with a brush. Bathroom Cleaner - I was not as impressed with PC Green Bathroom Cleaner - I tried it out on my soap scummed sink and noticed that despite hard scrubbing, the dirty soap scum marks would not budge. I totally hate that. I tried 5 applications to the same sink and finally ended up using my own bathroom cleaning scrub that I make from baking soda, borax & Epson salts. My sink cleaned up beautifully with that. Kitchen Spray Cleaner - This is a nice green product that works well for cleaning the counters, fridge, stove and tiles in your kitchen. It does a great job dissolving grease and food spills, but it has to be rinced to really perform well. Household Cleaner Concentrate - this is a bottle of very concentrated green cleaning solution that you dilute with warm water to use as soapy floor wash or even car wash. I thought it worked great and it is very economical too. Try out the new green cleaners yourself and see how easy they are to use - no toxic fumes, no dryed out irritated hands. What's not to like! |
